What Are Porcelain Veneers?

Veneers are thin tooth-colored porcelain shells that cover and repair crooked or chipped front teeth. Veneers are bonded to the front of your teeth to repair and/or improve your smile.

Porcelain veneers are custom fitted to your teeth and allow you to create a smile exactly the way you want it. Veneers are resistant to staining and discoloring, and are a permanent form of teeth whitening. In most cases veneers will be stronger than your original natural teeth.

VENEERSPAGEYEDI

Veneers are routinely used to fix teeth that are:

  1. Discolored – From root canal treatment; large metal fillings; or stains from tetracycline use
  2. Worn down
  3. Chipped or broken
  4. Misaligned, uneven, or irregularly shaped
  5. Unevenly spaced or have gaps between them

Veneers usually take 3 visits to our office to complete. The first visit is a consultation where you can discuss the result you want with Dr. Yedigarian. The second visit is to prepare the teeth and take impressions to send to the lab to create the veneers. The third visit Dr. Yedigarian will dry fit the veneers and adjust to ensure a proper fit before bonding them permanently to your teeth.
